I know I recommended the entire series but if you never watch that watch this episode. It’s so beautiful and well written it should be a short film on its own. This is my favorite piece of Lena Dunham’s writing so far. I know that it isn’t a rare take but I had an adjacent experience in my 20’s and felt so seen at the time I saw this. I alway thought it was so interesting that Marnie kept this experience to herself but it seemed to change her as a character.
